End of an era...

What happened to Sheila Dikshit? The woman who ruled the capital for 15 years, now defeated by newly introduced Arvind Kejariwal in the elections. I never believe it was a fate but she deliberately hit an axe on her feet. Dixit not only developed the capital but also made it proud arranging the CWG 2010. I still remember during those games I was in Delhi and she decorated the city like a bride, especially the Connaught Place, you must have seen the place. The buildings were shining in the sun light and you would never feel that you were in India & you would feel you were walking on the paths of London. Suddenly the wave of destruction came in the life of Delhi CM. It was all good for her until I was living in Delhi. One of my beloved friend also told me, "Chintan, Delhi has been changed ever since you have left. Please come back."

Defeated Dikshit
The first incident took place in Gurgaon (a part of Haryana yet the territory is considered in Delhi/NCR) when a female bar tender was gang raped and thrown semi naked on the metro pillar of Chhatarpur Metro Station. The people saw the humanity ending in such a way. The protest was started. That was a signal for government that either take action or leave your chair. Meanwhile the corruption charges over Dikshit with the CWG 2010 already running behind her that gave birth to the leader Arvind Kejriwal. Later Geetika, an air hostess committed suicide in Delhi and Gopal Kanda was arrested. It affected the ruling party too. Even with these controversies, Sheila continued the development of the state and was confidence enough to win the election fourth time in a row. I am not blaming Dikshit and will never blame her. When I was working there, my schedule was very tight and sometimes it took over 11 pm in night to return home. Being an account professional, I have to carry lakhs of Rs with me. Still I never got worried about it. I was roaming there fearlessly even at 11 o'clock.

In the way how she developed the city, I bet no one can ever do with his/her state. She was old yet she had an ironed heart who took decisions bravely. The major incident that changed the heart of Delhi people was the gang rape of a medical student took place on 16th Dec 2012. She took worse decision to shift the victim girl in Singapore based hospital even when doctors warned her that was not good at all when the girl was recovering and it was impossible for her to travel such long distance. She died in Singapore hospital due to multiple organ failure. And here, in entire country, the protest broke out everywhere. This time She needed to walk with the revolution, she needed to take the hardest decisions. But this time her ironed heart failed and she moved on. Lathi charge on innocent women by Delhi police made the mobs more angry and the protest was getting larger. The people came all over the country to protest the gang rape and record braking crowd gathered near the premises of India Gate and the President's house. This was the major blow in the camps of both Dixit and Central Govt that made the entire country go against them. People realized that now developments were not important and they need more safety and less corruption. People know even the BJP will rule the same government and so here Kejriwal wins with huge margin against sheila Dixit. No wonder Mrs Dixit was writing her own destiny herself but even she didn't realize actually she was writing it in a wrong way which was taking her to nowhere. The victory was getting blurred everyday and on the day of judgement, it was disappeared. She has tasted the worse loss in her career and I personally believe that it is the end of an era. The city which was walking on roads 15 years ago and now it is travelling in Metro high above or low under those roads, people have forgot everything what she did for their beloved state...

I am not even standing here for Kejriwal who is the leader of Aam Aadmi Parti. If he is a real AAP, he must ask his aide Sazia Ilmi from where she arranged 30 Crores fund being a former News anchor on ABP news channel. Corruption is everywhere, accept it. We are part of it. We can never stop it. But something we can change and that is our society. The safety which we need the most can be formed only by us which neither Arvind Kejriwal can provide nor Narendra Modi. Bitter but true. A leader can be replaced, a rapist... Never.
