Is Nari a Narayani?

It was a Katha held in our Ganesh Pandal in my hometown, Valsad. Early morning, suddenly it started raining heavily with lightning. For a while I thought their planning would be in vain. But they started a bit later. The Kasla Niwas has turned into the fortress for Ganesha where couple of beautiful lord’s Idols were kept and being worshipped by the Kaslas and villagers. I woke up early as mom making Pooris for me in breakfast. Meanwhile I tried to read the headline of paper. As soon as I picked up The TOI Mumbai, I read the headline,

"Bus conductor arrested for allegedly raping 4 year old girl in Badlapur."

I threw the paper without reading the content and started taking breakfast. I was not in mood to spoil my day thinking about the little girl, imaging to be a superhero who would go like a spiderman to the rapist conductor and take him to The Bandra Worli Sea link, and push him in the sea from the middle of the pillar of the cable supported bridge. As the Katha started, the first thing the Maharaj told about woman. "Nari". He said,"Nari is a Narayani." And immediately my mind diverted to the headline I read in The Times Of India. And I thought,"This is so stupid! How Nari can be a Narayani nowadays? Woman has only been an object today. Nothing else." And I kept on sitting in the Katha. The "Ragini-2" trailer has just been released. You must see it. Actually everyone must see it with family. It would be very educating movie teaching how to have sex under the presence of ghost. I saw the actress Sunny Leony was being undressed, she was pulled, she was moaning, she was explaining another lady taking into her arms that there was no one except her there. And the very next moment, the other lady turns into witch. Like we haven't seen this for many years. And in the climax, she took her panties off in swimming pool and waves it in the air, throws it. Someone (An Indian origin) in the comment had written that the Indians are the most stupid people on the earth. Even with a censor board, they are being served porn in  country. And they are only the responsible for what is happening today. (I believe that includes the headline of that news paper) I thought, I should leave a comment to his comment but I left it as he had used Maa Bahen words in it. But he was right. I was agreed and I was thinking on what Maharaj said,"Nari is Narayani." Is it so? Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor are well known names in the Tollywood of India, serving the typical well cultured characters in TV serials. It's good that people appreciate them. But what she is doing on a silver screen. Serving almost porn. And with Ragini MMS 2, she is repeating the history. Ekta Kapoor is always found half naked in many night parties, she always flaunts her breasts (may be for being an object for attractions) and once, when it went wrong when her top was almost slipped down, she had to hide behind her female companion. The so called Bollywood has completed 100 years but it is changed. Sex, Adult comedies, Vulgar Dances, cheap words have been the main factors for the movies to get success on the box office, Except the Shah Rukh Khan and the Salman Khan. And the one who helps get them stars is "Woman". The sexier she is, the more  audiences she attracts, the hotter she is, the more box office collections a movie gets, the more she exposes, the more stars it gets, doesn't it?

Some may even say, I am a narrow minded person. But I am not. I have never interfered any woman's business related to me, nor I am interested. Today If I take a newspaper, early morning I find pictures of a lady wearing lingerie or bra and panties, advertising local brands. If the advertise doesn't belong to those undergarments, I found even a woman in the other ads in same condition. Last day, the ad was published by well known reality firm selling its apartments where lady was standing in the same condition as the ladies were standing in those local brands bra-panties ad. This is unstoppable and never gonna stop too. The BMC has warned to remove mannequins but nothing is being obeyed. The educational institutes are posting pictures of beautiful girls in their hordings, just to attract people whether they will read content after seeing a girl. These are only few examples of how women are being used in our society as object. I am not trying to justify that men have to change their thinking but I am also not in favour of those women who are flying high and saying nothing can happen to them.

She will teach you how to be a perfect daughter, a perfect friend, a perfect employee and a perfect life partner. In my eyes, she is the true "Narayani". “

We are living in India; the country is under corruption where no human being is protected, not even me. The thing we do in a public place, we can peacefully do in a private room, We have also option to abort child in illegal abortion centres, we are cheating our parents yet feeling proud of ourselves, we are committing sins and asking god to forgive everyday. This is all fair. We do not want to control anything but we also do not want to be more conscious. Be aware of what you're doing. Either you came out in a bikini or in a saree, a rapist never see you. He will seek only one thing to satisfy his sexual hunger. Every woman can be a true "Narayani". It is depended on her how she lives, how she acts and finally how she adjusts herself with every situation.
