We are just failing.

If you have remembered that few days ago I posted something about a woman in the KEM Hospital who denied accepting her new born baby girl delivered after caesarian. It was pretty short. Actually the thing happened like this…

On 22nd October 2013, 28 year old Jogeshwari residing Bindu Yadav delivered a baby girl early morning in the KEM Hospital. It was the only caesarian delivery done on that morning by hospital doctors. But when the baby girl was handed over to Bindu after the operation, she didn’t accept it saying that she delivered the baby boy instead of a baby girl. She was not even ready to touch the child and she was blaming one of the most reputed hospitals of Mumbai for child swapping. She told media that when she was in semi conscious condition after her delivery, she listened to the male doctor and nurses’ discussing it was baby boy. The hospital personals told that she was already having two daughters and she was expecting baby boy. And so she had lost her mental balance. The doctors immediately sent the case to Kalina Forensic lab where DNAs of both were to be inspected. As the lab had already many cases were pending, this was gonna take time. Meanwhile Jaiprakash, Bindu’s husband who is an accountant professional, filed case against the KEM Hospital for baby swapping.

The DNA reports have been arrived to KEM Hospital last day from Kalina. The DNA of mother and baby has been matched. It has been proved that the baby was delivered by Bindu only. Bindu has been neglecting the child since her birth. While the nurses of the KEM Hospital were taking care of the little one as their most special guest by the help of Breast Milk Bank. The baby was survived by both nurses and Breast Milk Bank. The hospital has now asked Bindu to take the child and if she doesn’t wish to take her, the nurses of KEM will take care of her. Remember the KEM nurses are taking care of Aruna Shanbaug over 39 years in their hospital premises after she was sexually assaulted by a ward boy and went in comma. This is the honesty of KEM Hopital nurses that has made it the most reputed hospitals amongst all and they still want the baby girl into the safest hands. Bindu has accepted the baby girl and assured the doctors that she will be feeding her breast milk to baby.

It is good news or bad. But I am not sure about the future of the baby girl how she will be treated while growing up. Nurses of the KEM Hospital will definitely miss their little Angel guest hoping Bindu will take care of her very well.
