Bowled'em Mahi...

It seems like nothing is impossible for team India in the world. Chasing couple of huge targets against the strong team Australia, India has proven to the world that it is the strongest side amongst all the teams. They not only made the mammoth chases easily possible but also they didn't let the stress come around them while chasing even in the absence of Sachin Tendulkar, which was the weakest point of team India in 90's and a decade followed by. Last day, when MSD was batting in the final over of Nagpur match, India required 6 of 6. The very first ball was missed by the captain cool which went in the safest hands of wicket keeper, almost kissing the stump and many hearts came straight in the mouths. The next ball came full toss and he hit for a boundary. Equation then went down to 4 balls and two runs, when millions of people took the breath of relief after nail biting inning of Team India ended in the 49th over. And here, on the forth delivery, he flicked the ball towards the straight and ran for two runs quickly, provided another remarkable  victory. As soon as the second run completed, Mahi removed the stumps and headed towards the dressing room.
Mahi after victory

It's never a strange moment to see when our coolest captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni wins a match and take one of the stump dug in the middle of the stadium, very proudly, indicating that he has conquered his fortress. Wait and watch. The next game isn't so far, to conquer yet another fortress, somewhere in the world. Well you may have observed many times the Mahi taking a stump away after every win. What does he do with them? Why does he take them after victory? Too many questions would arise when we think of it. He may have the intention to collect the stumps in order to keep the memorable marks he did in the past. That's very good act of captain cool and something very different. So let's assume some funny jobs which Mahi will do with stumps after he will retire from the all format of the games.
So here they are, uses of stumps in the life of MSD after retirement,

·         He may build a protecting wall of compound in his Farm House where he and Sakshi will live

·         He may use them in tents when he will go for outing

·         He may use them as support to a tree which will be grown by Sakshi Dhoni in their yards.

·         He may prepare a boat out of them.

·         He may design his drawing room furniture by those stumps.

·         While getting too old, Mahi will use them as weapons. (Lol)

·         He may use them as a bat to get better shot with the bat while practicing

·         He will construct separate home for them nearest to his home premises, so that, millions year later, when our generation will dig and find those stumps, they would easily predict "Yes! This was supposed to be the home of the man who hit the helicopter shots"

·         Sakshi may use them as weapon to beat Mahi when they will have cute fights.

·         Their children can play with them. If they will get lost, Mahi will tell them,"Beta, I have thousands of stumps. Don't worry."

·         Their children will build small homes out of them using them as pillars.

·         When global warming will take place in India and the winter won't be normal, there will be ice fall instead of pink cold, Mahi will use them in fire to beat the cold.

·         If Mahi will buy the cattle, he will instruct his cattle by those stumps.

·         When the world will be suffering from the shortage of wood, and there will be no stumps in international cricket, Mahi will sell them at higher rates and secure his future with that money. (Again Lol)

In the last game we read written a special message to Mahi by a little girl of Nagpur sitting in a stand. "DHONI UNCLE. WIN THE MATCH." A man who runs tremendous fast between the wickets can never be an uncle. I wish the stemina he has right now, will stay with him for the upcoming years. And of course we would love to see him taking more stumps away from the ground as every time he takes the stump, he registers a remarkable victory and makes millions faces smile. God bless MSD.

Accept we are living in a "KALYUG"

Went shocked early morning after reading the story of 18 year teenage girl, who was charged with kidnapping, sexually abusing six year old boy. It all started when this 18 year old girl came in Mumbai to help her parents financially. Apart from her duties, she was also doing a computer course. She was living with her aunt in Ghatkopar & was appointed as bus attendandent in a school where her duties was to take care of little children. Things went worse when the parents of one of the children filed complaint against her for sexually abusing their child in March 2013.

She was immediately charged with child abuse, unnatural sex and kidnapping. The six year old kid was feeling uncomfortable for last 10 days before the complaint made by his parents. He was not eating food, not playing and not taking interest in any activity. He suddenly woke up midnight and shout, “No. Please do not beat me.” When parents asked him what was happened to him, he described that the attendant girl was taking him in an auto instead of school bus where she did “Bad things” to him. And that auto driver was beating him. The parents were shocked and immediately charged the teenage girl and the girl was sent to remand home. Doctors performed their duties and confirmed that the boy’s private parts were badly hurt and he was in major shock.

The other side, the cops were investigating the case too. I was wondering how a girl can commit such crime! After investigation, yesterday they have declared the teenage girl completely innocent and they’re taking all the charges from her. The investigation has found that the boy was harassed by his own classmates who had also hurt him in his private parts. The doctors later proved them. The story of the girl taking him in an auto was wrong as the police crossed checked his attendance in school was regular and he was coming in bus only instead of a separate medium. The police have left the teenage girl who was in custody for the last two months and made her free from all charges of Kidnapping, sexual abusing a child and having an unnatural sex.

I believe it’s a major lapse in the system again. I appreciate the Mumbai cops how they investigate the case and left the girl innocent but many questions are raised when we put more pressure,

How Six year old kid spoke lie, and why?

Why no one from school authorities came to save the girl?

The girl has lost her confidence as she lost her school bus attendant job. She left Ghatkopar as she lost her respect after this case, now living with her parents in Thane and suffering through the poor financial conditions. We can only imagine how things suddenly change in life. Unexpected things happen when we’re expecting good. The girl might have come with many dreams to work and learn, is now at the same place where she was. Who will bring back her respect, her confidence? Who is responsible for her conditions? A six year old child, his parents, the school, the doctors or the cops? Questions are many but there is no answer. All we can say that we are living in the worse period of times. We all are victims and the other sides, we all are criminals too.

Mumbai on heat.

Winter is the season for which I wait without having patience. The biggest festival of the year is just few days away, Diwali. But something is missing in the dream city Mumbai. This isn’t a normal Diwali. Few years ago, you might have seen an advertisement on TV, a mom calling her son, “Beta, sweater pehno.” It’s the best time for the marketing personals of sell their products for winter. It’s an official time when the winter should have arrived in the city but it hasn’t. Just a month ago, I was expecting the rain to go away from the city but it didn’t. Now the city is feeling like it is going through the summer. It’s 28th of October when the city should feel that pink cold in the early morning but it is too hot.

The locals were running late today morning. Many people were suffering, and I was one of them. Although I got proper seat today but I was feeling the heat inside the local and the noise of the commuters were disturbing me. My last days head ache was not gone and my concentration while reading the Mumbai Mirror was too being lost. I saw outside the window that the sun had come out yet it wasn’t sun light. I thought it might be a fog which was starting the winter but when I came out of the Churchgate station, I saw the huge cloud had covered the western suburbs which had almost hid the sun. While walking towards the office having the supper of Meduvada at the Sahyadri, I was feeling the heat of summer. I was sweating, irritating and annoying in the Monday morning. I was running towards my office and waiting to sit in the air conditioned premises with my smile, helping my madam Ms Anna, along with the report which was to be made for my second senior boss Mr. Akash.  The early morning schedule was pretty tight that I couldn’t even get up from my chair till 12:30 when I got natures call. I took my lunch which came in tiffin and the problem had arisen immediately. It was 5 o’clock and I felt I was almost sick. It was six o’clock and I confirmed it was a food poison and uneasiness had trapped me in bad conditions.

I came out from office and headed towards the Churchgate. As soon as I crossed DN Road, my health went worse. I, somehow manage to take a pill of Pudin Hara as vomit was about to come out. I thought I was not able to go in local. If I would vomit, everyone would blame me. But I left the thought and pour some confident in myself. I went over there thinking that Sanjaybhai, who makes me laugh a lot, would be there. He was there but he was sitting in Virar bound train. He was going Vasai and I found Hiteshbhai who slept as soon as Bombay central was crossed. Meanwhile I tried to sleep but my stomach was aching a lot and with the pain I reached Bhayander. It was all not over yet when there was no auto for Indralok Phase 3. The heat was on and I started walking with pain in my stomach.  The crowd was irritating me; the BEST buses horns were annoying me, and the people running fast to hug their wives, kiss their girlfriends/boyfriends, eat the dinner made of their mother’s hands were pushing me by the side. I reached home and ate nothing as I was still having stomach ache.

I do believe in God and he takes revenge with me. He knows tomorrow is 29th when I stay away from food and he will definitely think that I won’t manage myself. But I will. With confidence I will start my day and end with healthy conditions. All I believe the sacred spirit of the girl who lost her life will protect me for whom; I have been fasting since December 2012.

Dear God, you may make Mumbai hot, make me weakest by poor health but you cannot stop me in my motives. I love you a lot, I trust you a lot but the other side, I will keep protesting you too. May be the world will forget the day, but I will never ever forget. My silent fight will win one day. Then you will see, people will see the sacred spirit of the girl will see and I will break these fasts. Now chill and bring some cool breeze in Mumbai. I know you are listening me and I know you will never disappoint me.”

Shame on Indian Railways!

Actually, I was sharing this blog for the cruel administration of Valsad Railway Station in their ticket selling department. They have suddenly increased fares of the ticket to Virar from 25 to 30 without any information. I know the rates have increased just few days ago but they were increased for the First Class commuters. Whether you go Bhayander or Borivli (which is couple of stations far from Bhayander), you will have to pay 30 Rs from Valsad. And for Virar, I paid 25 regularly. Since last three weeks, they are taking 30 Rs for Virar, too. It's shameful for WR. Whatever charge they desire to charge on people, they are applying and people are adjusting with. On the other side of a price hike, there is NIL facilities in trains, nor on platforms. This is the incidents happened today which may leave you in a shock.

As usual I got in from Valsad to go Mumbai in Virar bound MEMU local. Well, after getting in, I realized that I have lost my ticket and I was in no mood to go back and buy again. I was sitting alone and in front of my compartment a couple was sitting along with a woman. Soon, I found my cousin brother who works in the Bombay Stock Exchange came and joined me. My plan was to write blog on the WR. Meanwhile this incident happened. The lady, who was sitting in front of us got a natures call. I believe, she was suffering through this condition from Valsad as she was finding something and often getting out of the train but she was hesitating to say us anything about it. MEMU has no toilets. It departs from Surat around 5 o'clock and reaches Virar around 10:15 night. The rest you can imagine through which condition that lady was suffering. The MEMU had already got its regular 20 minutes halt at the Sanjan station. But Sanjan station has no toilets facility on platform number 3. And the lady didn't even wish to go for the same. When the train departed from Sanjan, going here and there, finally her husband asked us how he could take his wife for bathroom. Well it was a good chance. I am a regular commuter of the train and I knew how it would be possible. I told them both,

"Look. The next station will be Karambele which is the first station of the Maharashtra state. As it has less commuters, the platform remains 90% in dark. In front of our coach, a large bench made of stones will come. You may easily go there and behind the bench, you can complete the natures call. But be careful as the train has already halted for 20 minutes in Sanjan, it will not stop there longer."

The lady remained silent and waited for Karambele to come. Karambele is the last station which has got darker site. Later all platforms have got light on in the night time. As soon as Karambele came, I shouted," Hurry up. There's the bench. Go fast. You can easily came back before the train departs."

Again lady scared and she didn't move away. She was scared because she was thinking about losing the train and told her husband she will bear this natures call till VirarBut it was not possible for her to handle. We all could see the pain she was having. Some also suggested to clear some area and make it done but she was feeling very uncomfortable. Then we all left the hope. And look how sharp minded husband she had got. She was still searching a place and her husband got an idea. The MEMU has series of general coaches where we can easily change the coach passing through the gaps between two coaches. All the gaps have shutters in them, in case it is separated, the shutter will be locked. Her husband left her wife in the middle of the two coaches and shut down the shutters. While the woman was completing her natures call. Suddenly someone shouted,

"Hey. What were you doing in Sanjan when it was in siding."

In reply, I angrily said," Is there any toilet in Sanjan? Look at them, are they regular commuters? Did they know that the train will have 20 minutes halt in Sanjan? Or if they knew the train had 20 minutes halt there, where she would have gone for bathroom?"

Whoever he was, shut his mouth and didn't reply me. And the husband opened the shutter and woman came out with pretty relaxed face. We all were too feeling relaxed for her. This is just a single incident that took place today in front of my eyes. The Western Railway is planning to start the Valsad-Churchgate local by 2020. You can imagine how people will have to suffer when there will be no toilets in train. Let's accept local cannot have toilets, but at least platform should have much hygiene toilets for women. Because we are men and I believe we have right to stand anywhere for toilet in public place. But women can't. This is also a part of helping women where system has completely failed. WR has got big zero for this and such shameful thing for it apart from their price hike and late running schedules of trains for which they don't even have any idea!

Of Love & Lovers

I had never ever preferred to read novels in life as I always liked those self-help books. Ever since I have known about books, I have been following, Shiv Khera, Rhonda Brayne and Robin Sharma. That weekend somehow I found the title of Pamela Sinha Mathur’s “Of Love & Lovers” and decided to read it. It was all new experience reading the story of girl Samantha who comes to Mumbai for studies.

When I started reading the story, I slowly involved in all the characters created by Pamela in her novel. And later, it made me feel that I am watching a movie and each of the character has gone live in it. Pamela has exceptionally well narrated the city of Mumbai with those characters and expressed the true feeling of a girl through the main character Samantha. Sam (Samantha) teaches how to be strong in every condition of life, how to live in every mood we are trapped in, how to move on in life with a broken heart, and how to live life with full of joy when you will come to know that you aren’t alone and you are loved by many in the world. The biggest message I learned from her story is that if you lose your love, you don’t need to get surrounded by worries and think of the revenge. You have to move on and learn the lesson which life has taught you. It isn’t end. The character Sam goes through many situations in the dream city Mumbai, still she never loses hope and remains strong till the end, changes attitude towards her life and finally her life turns pretty smoother.
The Cover Page of  "Of love & Lovers"

If I would have to say about the best moment in the book, I would definitely bring the situation when Sam returns to the Canada completing her studies in Mumbai. When Sam boards the plane and how she describes the city seeing below from the sky in the midnight, really makes me feel cry. I really appreciate the author Pamela Sinha Mathur for her book “Of Love & Lovers” that has certainly changed my vision towards novels. Every book has its own story and teaches you a lesson in a practical way (it may be frictional). But when you are involved in the book, you will definitely come to know you aren’t wasting your time. Pamela’s book “Of Love & Lovers” is one of the best stories and a must read title. If anyone wants it, please tell me, I will arrange to send the book. I always keep this book with myself. It has inspired me a lot and I really thank Pamela for writing this book. And thanks to the Facebook, I have been able to thank her personally.

In a lap of nature again...

A great day started with great memories. The laborers have dug the entire road near Vimal Dairy and again it has created lot of difficulties for all the class of the residents. Luckily I got an auto early morning as soon as I walked out from our Apartments. There was no one in it and I got in. Soon a girl arrived and another boy joined. The driver started and auto he saw something in mirror. A girl was running behind his auto and trying to catch it. He stopped the auto and the tired girl came and asked,

“Station?”

“Sorry madam. How can I ask anyone to get down?” replied auto driver.

“It’s ok.” Sadly she started running towards the Naka.

I saw her face was turned pretty small. I told to the auto driver,” Bhaiya, let me get down. Call that girl. Please give her the seat.”

“Sahab you don’t need to get down here. You can sit with me here.” He said.

He called her but she didn’t listened. We chased her and caught her. I got down from the auto and offered her my seat. She was relaxed and the smile she had lost, got it back. With a pretty smile, she said me,” Thank you.”

I replied gently,” Most welcome Ma’am.”

At the time when I got down the auto, she again said,” Thank you so much once again.”

In a reply I said,” Arre its ok ma’am. You don’t need to say it often.”

I smiled and went to catch my local where I joined with my Bengali friends today. You know that guy Pradeep? With whom I really had a funny day. He is quite younger than me and working with Star India Private Limited in their back office at Bombay Central where all the channels’ financial work is done. I reached the office quite early after my breakfast and started my work. Thing went quite slowly as my boss is out of town. As the reconciliation job is done by me, I had to concentrate a lot. I was having severe head ache seeing the complicated conditions of the ledgers. Later I had lunch which had too much garlic. I really do not like garlic at all. But when you are living away from home, you have to adjust everything.

In a spare time, again I went out with Sachin. Sachin and I went in the Horniman Circle Garden. Horniman circle garden is situated in the middle of the Fort area. It is nice place for professionals to gather there and get refreshed themselves for a while. It has large area covered with huge green trees along with a fountain in the middle of it. In the fountain, I found many ducks were playing with each other in water. I saw them and I got so happy. From my busy schedule, I had been able to visit the Horniman Circle garden today. Last day, in the Mumbai Mirror, Sherley Bose had expressed that the Pisces would have a mini picnic. It was quite small yet very pleasant day in the garden, I considered as mini picnic. This garden is nearest to my office yet I never went there as I didn’t prefer to go alone. Sachin, today came with me and we had fun over there. I saw those cutest ducks and thanked the nature,

Ducks Playing in Horniman Circle Garden.
“Oh what a beautiful thing you have made! After long time I am feeling that I have come in to the lap of nature again. This beautiful ducks have reminded my lost memories, when I was a kid. Just like Akshay Kumar (as a lord Krishna) says in the movie Oh My God, “I am here always, going along with the ants, making nests with birds.” I am seeing those fluffy ducks. I am wishing if one of them come to me and I kiss it. I was seeing ‘him’ in them.”
